When it comes to data generated by our community, I’ve been refraining from jumping on the AI bandwagon. It’s not because I don’t think it’s important. It really does feel like there is no escaping a future with AI. What I am trying to do is avoid waste and getting distracted. As a small business, it can be detrimental.
With a new tool “every 5 minutes” it’s all too easy to get distracted from our core mission of supporting our community. I’m hoping there will be signs of the market stabilising this year, whatever “stabilisation” means in today’s world.
However, crucially, my avoidance has been more because I’ve been thinking about AI in relation to Community Knowledge Management (CKM) and with a focus on getting the foundations right.
