Care has always been my motto, but I think I will continue to tap into it with more depth in 2026.
I often refer to care in both my community and quality work.
Community is care.
Quality is care.
It's fun to keep exploring what it means:
- Care is about making good decisions.
- Care is about creating boundaries.
- Care is about considering the ecosystem.
- Care is about listening before acting.
- Community care > self care, it sounds counter intuitive, but we need each other
- Care is about considering those who have lifted you up along the way.
- Care is about noticing whatβs being ignored.
- Care is about slowing down when speed would cause harm.
- Care is about asking who this helps, and who it excludes.
- Care is about doing the invisible work that keeps things whole.
- Care is about designing for humans, not just outcomes.
- Care is about sustainability, not heroics.
- Care is about choosing long-term trust over short-term wins.
- Care is about leaving things better than you found them.
- Care is about accountability, not blame.
- Care is about repair when things break.
- Care is about knowing when to step back.
- Care is about making space for others to lead.
- Care is about care for yourself, not just others.
- Care is about building trust, doing the right thing, especially when no one is watching.
- Care is appreciation for what surrounds you.
- Care is being able to sleep with a conscience.
- You can't have real community without care.
- And for my quality friends, you can't have real quality without care. π
Care doesn't guarantee success, you'll actually probably get hurt and lose out financially along the way, but at least you can sleep well at night.
