False Start Community Flywheels

There's a phrase that I can never get sick of, it's the Community Flywheel. The concept of a flywheel isn't a new idea. The reality is that most things in life involve flywheels. Starting anything from scratch is hard, recognising that we have traction or a lack of it is crucial to know how to take action in your community.

When it comes to building community we need to look at the flywheel in the context of community. We need to look for the equivalent of "the grease" and "mechanical parts" that will keep the community flowing.

When we fail to include the necessary parts for the flywheel then we start to lose traction. Sometimes we won't notice it, but then, before you know it you are standing still and everything becomes a struggle.
