Services as a Community Business Model

πŸ™ A big thanks to Chauntelle Lewis, Stephanie Baiocchi, Karina Mikhli, Sara Saunders, Val Mercandante and Camile Silva for attending and contributing to our discussion on this topic.

Making money through community feels like life long struggle.

When we build communities we can feel pressured not to taint the community by selling services. It's an easy trap to fall into. However, it's faulty logic.

Community can exist in everything we do. The best businesses out there have community at their heart and it doesn't stop them from serving their people. In fact, serving their people AND making money only enables them to invest more back into their community efforts.

This world of combining community and services is ripe for innovation and disruption. People are already doing it, we can all help normalise it and push forward to find new and innovative ways.
