Some ways I enjoy "teaching" in community

I've been designing Glitter, the Rosieland "community space" and I love approaching community with a learning focus. Here's what I'm doing right now to help people learn community building.

This space is new and I start to get a bit excited at how this could amplify when others start getting into the groove of sharing too. Learning often happens one tiny (inter)action at a time.

This is not a comprehensive list. It's sharing what I'm doing right now, on Glitter, which is basically (as I now see it) a social network for community builders! 😍

Find a great educational video and highlight it

Highlight upcoming events, from Rosieland, contributors and sponsors.

Share community examples as I find them

Share in-progress thoughts and visuals

Curating content to make it easier to find and save people time

I love writing where I also point people to discussions when they need help

Opportunities for members to meet and talk through community challenges

I create, share and collect community memes

And we're getting back into meeting people IRL

How can we build better communities?

We are on a quest to learn and explore what makes great communities.
