How we function as society needs to be balanced, we've gone on far too long without paying attention to the bigger picture.
I used to look for a win-win when building community. To me this means that I look for something that both our people and the organisation will benefit from. I've always tried to make sure we've both gained value or progress. This could be in our every day tasks in addition to our strategic thinking.
However, now I think I need to adjust my thinking to make it so I look for the win-win-win.
What do I mean by the win-win-win?
It means there are three crucial parties that need to win when we aim to build community:
- The people
- The organisation
- The ecosystem
(The organisation could be founder, the organiser(s), a group, a business, a collective, a project, etc)
